NYT's Artistic Display of Religious Hypocrisy: Runs Offensive Virgin Mary Painting Once Again

Mary, as envisioned by the Shroud of Turin

As if further evidence is needed of the religious bias common in some major media outlets::

NYT's Artistic Display of Religious Hypocrisy: Runs Offensive Virgin Mary Painting Once Again

The accompanying picture to the article is in apparent violation of their stated policy:

"Under Times standards, we do not normally publish images or other material deliberately intended to offend religious sensibilities. After careful consideration, Times editors decided that describing the cartoons in question would give readers sufficient information to understand today’s story." (as quoted in the above linked article. I could not find the specific info on the NYT website-Ed.)

In Her defense, I sent an email to the Editor of the NYT requesting its removal from the article due to its offensive nature. NYT's policy prevents me from publishing the email here, at least for the present.

If you also wish to write a respectful letter - and I highly encourage all to do so - the link to Submissions to Editor here.

And just to remind us Catholics, here are a few links from EWTN's Mary Menu page:
